Tangled Up In Blue...

BY Unknown IN , , No comments

The masquerade themed third episode of The Originals has been the best yet. There was glitz, glam and fireworks along with twists and turns (and I'm not just talking about the ball). There was even a little romance brewing, which the show has been missing until now.

Elijah and Rebekah attend the masquerade ball ready to stir up trouble.

In the most recent instalment we got to see Klever Klaus scheme his way into convincing Marcel to return his captivated brother Elijah. Of course it wouldn't be Klaus' plan if somebody didn't get double crossed and killed. Cue Katie a poor innocent witch in love with not just any vampire but Thierry, Marcel's right hand man.  With the help of Sophie Devereaux, Klaus and Rebekah use this bit of info to trick Katie into performing magic to save her loved one, knowing full well that the practising of magic in the quarter is a crime punishable by death.

Marcel hears the news of Katie and Thierry.

The tragic story of the star-crossed lovers merely serves as a distraction from Sophie performing a locater spell to find the whereabouts of Davina and Elijah. Sadly, before Sophie can complete the spell Klaus kills Katie to prove his loyalty to Marcel and win back Elijah.

A worried Katie seeks help from Sophie.

Just as it looks as though Klaus has won the war, Davina steps in to remind Marcel that the original family are a threat and she will not let Elijah go until she figures out a way to kill them all.
We also got to see the conception of another plot-line concerning baby mamma Hayley and her spawn; a supernatural loophole. Turns out this mini hybrid could be the beginning of an even bigger war...

My fave look of the episode has to be this angel costume worn by Cami. She looked absolutely stunning and is giving me some inspo for this year's Halloween.

Let It Fall...

So we are a couple weeks into the fall season which means officially all (almost... still awaiting the Halloween special of PLL and the series premiere of Ravenswood) of our fave shows are back on the small screen. Whilst I am over the moon to have Grey's, TVD, Mindy, New Girl and Scandal back I'm also excited to pick up a few new shows this year. Here's a list of shows premiering this fall I think are worth taking a look at...

Betrayal (10/9c Sunday Nights on ABC)
Tipped as the new Revenge, Betrayal stars Hannah Ware (Jesse Ware's sister) as Sarah Hanley a New York photographer who unhappy in her marriage, begins an affair with Jack McAllister (Stuart Townsend) an equally unhappily married city lawyer. Things between the two become heavily complicated when Sarah discovers her husband is working on the prosecution team of
a murder case involving Jack and his family.

The Tomorrow People (9/8c Wednesday Nights on the CW)
Since the cancelling of One Tree Hill and 90210, The CW are bringing out a whole new slate of teen dramas and TTP looks like it could be a keeper. Based on the original British television series of the same name, the series follows a group of young people who possess powers as the result of genetic mutation. X-Men meets Jumper, the series revolves around Stephen Jameson as he discovers his abilities and goes in search of his father (the most powerful of TTP) to find some answers.

Once Upon A Time In Wonderland (8pm Thursday Nights on ABC)
If OUATIW is anything like its big brother show then we are in for a treat! Everyone has been going mad in anticipation for this Alice in Wonderland adaptation. The series featuring an all British cast is brought to us by the producers of Lost and stars some familiar faces (Emma Rigby; Hollyoaks/Prisoners Wives and Michael Socha; This Is England/Being Human).

The Originals (8/7c Tuesday Nights on The CW)
Another hotly anticipated spin off series to premiere this year is none other than The Originals. Finally! We follow Klaus, Rebekka and Elijah as they embark on a mission to overthrow King Marcel and his night-walkers and take back what is rightfully theirs... the city of New Orleans. I'm sure I'm not alone in my excitement for a weekly dosage of Charles Michael Davis and Joseph Morgan.

Witches of East End (10pm Sunday Nights on Lifetime)
I love a good teen fantasy drama! Based on the novel of the same name WEE stars Julia Ormand as Joanna Beauchamp, a witch keeping the truth about her family heritage from her daughters Freya Beauchamp and Ingrid Beauchamp, who are part of the next generation of witches.

Hellooooooo, Anybody There???

It's been forever since I've been in the blogsphere, I've missed it so much. Have you missed me? I would like to explain why I've been away for so long but the truth is, it doesn't make for an interesting read.

What I do hope you'll find interesting though, are the new plans I have for Seen On-Screen. So those of you who have stuck with me through this drought - please please please, stay tuned.
