Clouds of Sils Maria Premiere...

BY Rachel Ladipo IN , , , , , No comments

The who's who of Hollywood took to the red carpet for the premiere of 'Clouds of Sils Maria', the new movie starring Chloe Moretz, Kristen Stewart and Juiliette Binoche. The two young actresses rocked two very different Chanel ensembles but both managed to look equally chic.
A firm believer of keeping it simple, Kristen Stewart stayed true to her personality in this jumpsuit from the Chanel Spring 2014 collection teamed with Christian Louboutin heels. I love that she opted for an easy to wear look that still had a little sparkle. And of course in true Kristen fashion she ditched the heels for a pair of sneakers- at least they were Chanel!

My favourite of the two looks is this couture gown from the Chanel Spring 2013 collection. The shredded chiffon and feather accents give this look a fairytale like vibe. Keeping everything else understated with Chopard jewellery, Stuart Weitzman sandals and minimal makeup, she got this look spot on.

The Circus Goes To Paris...

In case you weren't aware, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are getting married this weekend. With no expense spared, these two have taken over Paris for the week and the next stop is reportedly going to be Florence.
The Kardashian-West clan have been papped non-stop in the build up to the big event and one Kardashian sister in particular is making sure she is looking photo-ready.

I love this Valentino Guipure Lace dress Khloe is wearing, teamed with a Valentino fringed clutch and Anthony Vaccarello sandals. Finishing off the look with muted makeup and a Valentino-esque slicked back low pony really gave Khloe the edge over mama bear Kris who recently wore the same dress. Although I do love those chunky gold earrings she had on.

Accessory wise Khloe kept on trend with an assortment of Romanian Gypsy inspired pieces by Lorraine Schwartz and Cartier

For the pre-wedding luncheon Khloe donned a stunning custom designed gold Lira Constatina & Louise gown. The plunging neckline and thigh high slit almost had me mistake her for Kim! This dress is actually my fave of the night.

Another great evening look; Khloe wore a black Tuxedo dress by Gucci, with Christian Louboutin heels and another Valentino fringed clutch, this time in leopard print. The vampy makeup look and the loose waves have me foaming at the mouth!

Who: Nicola Roberts
What: Gabrielle's Gala

Where: London

When: Wednesday 7th May 2014
Nicola Roberts is the epitome of sophistication in this rayon maxi dress by Body Frock. The olive coloured gown looks amazing against her porcelain skin and compliments her red locks. I love that she kept everything minimal, loose waves, barely there makeup and no accessories; she proved you can keep it simple and still look glamourous.

Before Batman... There Was Gotham

BY Rachel Ladipo IN , , No comments

The first official trailer for the much anticipated series Gotham was released this week. The origins series takes place well before Bruce Wayne became The Batman and when Jim Gordon was a strapping young thing (Ben McKenzie). In the two- minute promo (which has already accumulated over 5 million views on YouTube) we get a glimpse of some Batman's most infamous villains all in their mini me incarnations; Cat Woman, Poision Ivy and The Riddler.

videoThe series centres around Detective Gordon and will premiere on FOX in the fall. I was a huge fan of The Dark Knight trilogy, so if the television series is anything like it, I'll be glued to my screen until next summer. Although, I wish it was scheduled for a mid season showing. Is it just me, or are all the best shows on mid season?!

Tangled Up In Blue...

BY Rachel Ladipo IN , , No comments

The masquerade themed third episode of The Originals has been the best yet. There was glitz, glam and fireworks along with twists and turns (and I'm not just talking about the ball). There was even a little romance brewing, which the show has been missing until now.

Elijah and Rebekah attend the masquerade ball ready to stir up trouble.

In the most recent instalment we got to see Klever Klaus scheme his way into convincing Marcel to return his captivated brother Elijah. Of course it wouldn't be Klaus' plan if somebody didn't get double crossed and killed. Cue Katie a poor innocent witch in love with not just any vampire but Thierry, Marcel's right hand man.  With the help of Sophie Devereaux, Klaus and Rebekah use this bit of info to trick Katie into performing magic to save her loved one, knowing full well that the practising of magic in the quarter is a crime punishable by death.

Marcel hears the news of Katie and Thierry.

The tragic story of the star-crossed lovers merely serves as a distraction from Sophie performing a locater spell to find the whereabouts of Davina and Elijah. Sadly, before Sophie can complete the spell Klaus kills Katie to prove his loyalty to Marcel and win back Elijah.

A worried Katie seeks help from Sophie.

Just as it looks as though Klaus has won the war, Davina steps in to remind Marcel that the original family are a threat and she will not let Elijah go until she figures out a way to kill them all.
We also got to see the conception of another plot-line concerning baby mamma Hayley and her spawn; a supernatural loophole. Turns out this mini hybrid could be the beginning of an even bigger war...

My fave look of the episode has to be this angel costume worn by Cami. She looked absolutely stunning and is giving me some inspo for this year's Halloween.
