TOWIE Series 4 Episode 1 Roundup.

BY Unknown No comments

So... TOWIE is back and i'm frilled!!!!  I must admit, with all the new changes in the casting, I was a little apprehensive about how the show would pan out but judging by yesterday's episode, this series is gonna be as great as all the others. I really like Joey's bff James and Georgina is gorgeous, she reminds me little bit of Lacey Turner (Stacey Slater from Eastenders). I think she's gonna stir up some trouble between Lucy and Mario (uh-oh) I just wish they would get rid of the twins and Jess! Ergh! I'm not too keen on Cara and Billi either. I was almost in tears when it was revealed Arg and Lydia are on a break, I was really looking forward to seeing them in a happy place now that Mark has gone, I hope they do get back together!
Lydia; as always, looked amazing, in the premiere, she wore this colourful checked blazer (£73) which is cropped and available at Bella Sorella (her store) teamed with a sheer black blouse and leather trousers, sigh. The girl can do no wrong.

Surprisingly, Lauren also looked good, in a scene with Lydia she was seen wearing this yellow dress also from Bella Sorella (£48). Her makeup and new darker hair really looked on point. She should keep it up.

Georgina is one that I'm keeping my eye on this series, her style seems to be quite simple but still trendy. I love the way she dressed up the vest/jeans/cardigan with a pair of  nude Louboutins and matching Hermes Birkin bag. She clearly has money but doesn't feel the need to drown herself head to toe in labels, keeping it classy!

Happy 100th GG. xoxo

Gossip Girl is back tomorrow night with its 100th episode. I'm actually quite surprised to be honest because for a few seasons it was lagging but season 5 has been enjoyable for me.  I have a feeling that there is going to be an almighty twist tomorrow because everybody knows that Blair will NOT go through with the wedding. Luckily we still get to see the wedding dress and the bridesmaids dresses which are all by Vera Wang.

I love these dresses especially Serena's. I've decided this is what I want my bridesmaids to wear at my wedding minus the tights and black waistbands!

This gown isn't what I imagined Blair would wear, Blair is referred to as Queen B so I would have imagined a slimmer fitting dress, something elegant and similar to Princess Kate's, with pulled back hair, but this still looks amazing, she looks like she's stepped out of a fairytale.

The Best Dressed

BY Unknown 2 comments

So the verdict is out on the best and worst dressed at the Golden Globes, Here goes...

Reese Witherspoon isn't someone I've ever seen as hot, but she is smoking in this Zac Posen dress and her skin is glowing. Marriage really agrees with her!

Pretty Paula Patton looks pretty in.....Yellow. Right now she can do no wrong. The colour is so vibrant and I smile every time I see this Monique Lhuillier dress. Her accessories are just enough and don't outshine the dress.
This Gucci dress is so sexy and so Salma Hayek. Black and gold are a dynamite duo and this compliments her skin so well. I love that she's kept her make up understated and her hair not too perfect.

Madeline Stowe shows Madonna how its done in this Vera Wang dress. She looks sophisticated and understated and most importantly age appropriate! (Can you believe she's 53?!)
I really love this Nina Ricci dress on Rooney Mara, not too keen on the hair though.

This girl has got style! She's effortlessly cool in this Lanvin gown and looks good in practically everything else she puts on. I like the different shades of red (including her hair) and I like the flashes of flesh on the bottom half of the dress. I'm still in awe of the dress she wore to the awards show last year. It was so simple, so plain but somehow it really worked.

And Finally....Octavia Spencer.
I love this dress! But what I love even more is Octavia in this Tadashi Shoji dress. Every time I see it I just want to say aww. She looks adorable and feminine, the colour really suits her. She's not overdone it all! She looks beautiful.

The Almost Best Dressed

So the verdict is out on the best and worst dressed at the Golden Globes, Here goes...
This woman really knows how to show off her curves! Sofia Vergara looks stunning in this Vera Wang gown. My only wish is that she put her hair up to show off her shoulders.

I really love this Michael Kors dress. It's absolutely gorgeous. It looks good on Mary J Blige, I just wish she didn't have those tattoos, I also think if she softened her make up she would've looked super feminine.
Amber Riley looks so adorable in this Badgley Mischka dress, it really compliments her skin tone and shows off a curvaceous figure. Again with strapless dresses its always good to show off the shoulders.
This Elie Saab dress isn't wow but its cute and relaxed, very Jessica Biel.
What I love about Zoey Deschanel in this Prada dress is Zoey Deschanel. She's stayed true to her quirky self and it's really pulled off. I also love the big 60s hair and make up.

The Worst Dressed...

So the verdict is out on the best and worst dressed at the Golden Globes, Here goes...

Covers eyes. As much as I love Sarah Michelle Gellar, I feel sick looking at this Monique Lhuillier dress. It looks like a duvet cover, its drowning her! Her hair looks boring and her make up looks slightly over the top.

Eek! Freida Pinto could have done so much better than this! She's normally on point, this Prada dress makes her look like Asian Barbie, she looks so stiff. It completely hides her figure and her beauty.
When I first saw Lea Michelle in this Marchesa gown I was impressed but then the longer I looked at it the more I was turned off. I think the dress itself is actually quite nice,  I just think Lea is the wrong girl to be wearing it. She's gone for an overtly sexy look, with her hair and make up, which makes the whole thing look tacky. This was how it should have been worn. Simple make up, slick hair and minimal accessories.
Natalie Portman was someone I expected to shine at the Golden Globes but this Lanvin dress is sooooooooo boring. It's a horrible cut a horrible colour.
Surprise Surprise! Madonna is on the list lol. I don't remember the last time she actually got it right. This Reem Acra dress started out reasonably well but the bottom let her down. It's too much ruffling for my liking, the necklace is far too big and she didn't need to wear those diamond cuffs. Sigh.
Angelina Jolie looks frightening in this Versace dress. The dress itself is boring and she would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those toothpick arms and that wafer thin frame. She looked so much better last year!

Young Faces of Fashion...

In recent years, we have seen the emergence of  young style icons and as the years go by these icons seem to get younger and younger. I think its slightly awkward to be looking up to these youngsters but it just cant be helped. Here is my list of top five young faces of fashion.

No1... Hailee Steinfeld

Hailee rose to fame with her lead role in the Oscar nominated film True Grit (2010).
I cannot believe she is only 15 years old. Her style is so refined and elegant. So well put together. She really has great taste. I personally think she is a trendsetter for not just her own generation but mine too. And being the face of Miu Miu she has an enviable wardrobe.

No.2...Chloe Moretz

At just 14 years old Chloe has been in over 25 films. She is probably most famous for playing Hit-Girl in Kick-Ass 2010. Although she's been around since the age of 7, she has only just begun to appear in style mags and websites. She dresses quite mature which makes sense because she's had to grow up a lot faster than most. A lot of what she wears I could actually see myself wearing too.

She rocked this Alexander McQueen dress better than most celebs.

The print and colour on this Christopher Kane dress gives it a young vibe.

I would never have considered wearing a velvet until now.

No. 3...Elle Fanning

Elle is only 13 and she's already made it into the best dressed lists of 2011. Her and her sister Dakota are taking Hollywood by storm as the new Mary-Kate & Ashley. What I love about Elle's style is that it's unique and slightly awkward. Its very feminine without trying too hard.

No. 4... Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner, sister to the Kardashians' was always going to be on this list. Fashion runs in the family. I'd say she's influenced by her older sisters' but adds her own quirky spin to her look. Casually dressed, she looks like any other 16year old but on the red carpet she gives the rest of her family a run for their money.

No. 5...Willow Smith

The girl is 11 and the youngest on my list.  She's clearly influenced by Gaga and Minaj. I personally am not a fan of her style or her music, part of me thinks it's a little forced and unnatural but I admire her passion and creativity.

Double Trouble...

BY Unknown No comments

I was suppose to do a post on Khloe Kardashian but it just didn't feel right talking about her without mentioning Kourtney. These two come as a package! Originally the extras on the Kim K show, they soon emerged as the true stars.

Khloe Kardashian Odom has to be the ultimate Basketball Wife. She is so ride or die for her man, which is exactly how it should be. Everyone was sceptical of her marriage to Lamar in the beginning but it's safe to say that these two are in it for the long haul. Clearly marriage agrees with her as she has never looked better. Since she got together with Lamar her style has evolved fabulously! I would describe her style as eclectic, she's always mixing it up from hippie to urban chic. She has a curvy figure and fully embraces that. What I admire most about Khloe is that she's so human. She admittedly has her good days and bad days, she doesn't let anyone dictate how she looks, it's all about enjoying yourself and feeling comfortable.

Kourtney is my favourite!!! I love everything about her. She is definitely the best dressed Kardashian, although this hasn't always been the case. I think having a child has definitely shifted her fashion sense up a few gears. Now she's a lot more daring. It would really hard to categorise her sense of style as she is forever mixing and matching trends... It was so hard sticking to just four pics!
